How it started

When Cece found out she was pregnant with her son, she envisioned a birthing pool, no pain medication, and a more natural experience. Unfortunately, she realized that may not be possible as she developed major complications as her pregnancy progressed. Despite what could have been a traumatic experience, due to the support and compassion she received from her care team, she enjoyed her labor with no regrets. As she held her son in the hospital, she became acutely aware of how differently things could have gone for her without her strong support network.

She soon fell down the internet rabbit hole of other parents’ labor experiences — many with no complications initially, but who still had drastically different outcomes from her own. Cece realized she wanted to help other families to remember their labor experience as something happy, where they were respected and empowered to make their own choices.

Now, Cece is a birth and postpartum doula serving Katy, Cypress, Spring, The Woodlands, and Tomball whose goal is to advocate for clients to receive the care they want with their labor and delivery, and provide support throughout labor and into their new lives as parents.

My Philosophy

I believe there is no one "right" way to labor. Labor isn't something you should recall with dread; instead, it should be an experience you remember with joy as you welcomed your newest family member. My purpose is to support and empower you so that you can have a labor experience where you feel seen, heard, and respected as you start your journey into parenthood (either for the first time, or again, and again, and again).

Let's do labor your way!
